I tried this for the first time last night and you can smell (and taste) every bit of caramel and vanilla notes. This is so smooth and beautifully crafted! 10/10 would recommend.
I heard the hype, and expected this to be very good. However, I was incredibly surprised, as this Tequila was well beyond my expectations. Its taste is spectacular, and the finish is what Tequila is all about, beautifully well rounded with exquisite flavors.
Have been wanting to try this tequila since we saw it on line. It lives up to its reviews. Very smooth with just a hint of vanilla and caramel. Usually get our sipping tequila in Cozumel but definitely will be ordering this again when want a great smooth sipping tequila. Love its unique taste.
The best I’ve had!
I am new to the world of high end tequila. I have actually never tried Anejo Tequila as although I enjoy tequila in mixed drinks, I have never enjoyed blanco neat as just a bit too harsh for my liking. So, after all of these years, I thought I would give Anejo a try. What a difference. I was afraid it would lose the taste of the agave plant, but it does not. And boy is it smooth compared to blanco. I love the enhanced flavor from the barrell aging as well. It is just a pleasure to sip neat. And learning of the story behind 1953 makes it even better. 5 stars for the tequila and for the service. The bottle is packaged extremely well and what a beautiful bottle. I highly recommend 1953 to both seasoned veterans, and newbies like myself.
