1953 trusts our mature 100% blue weber agave, natural spring water, proprietary yeast, and vintage bourbon barrels to create a truly authentic premium tequila. While some tequilas rely on chemical enhancements to enhance their flavor, we take no shortcuts and it shows.

With a chemical engineering degree and a commitment to honoring the traditions and natural characteristics of agave, our master distiller melds science and tradition to craft a spirit that is wholly authentic.

With hints of vanilla, citrus, and chocolate, 1953 is aged in vintage American Oak barrels previously used to age premium bourbon, resulting in complex flavors and a distinctively refined finish.  Recognized as the best craft anejo tequila on the market and awarded a Gold Medal at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition, 1953 Tequila is turning heads.

1953 Tequila is sourced and produced by local families whose stories are rooted in the traditions and natural beauty of Mexico. Our agave farms have been owned by one family for four generations, and our distillery has only changed hands once in over 135 years. And, these families today are led by women.
